October 2008

…and many moons later, this post reappears to the public! :)

This wedding was just grand.  I really don’t know how to describe it, other than it gave me lots of happy feelings- the wedding, the sweet couple, shooting with one of my dear friends, Heidi, and using the amazing lense mentioned a few posts ago (and I might add, waking up the next morning to a rather sore arm! :P ).  For starters, it was an 11:00 AM wedding, which meant that we needed to start shooting the formals fairly early in the morning (as in 7:30 AM).  If anyone is keeping up the with the time of the day it gets light this time of the year, you know that it is just starting to get light at 7:30, so Heidi and I got this brilliant idea to take some sillhouette pictures and make the most of this early hour!  What fun!  I might post more of those later…we’ll see.  We could not have ask for a more brave and cooperative couple to work with in the freezing, wet, hours of the morning!  Titus and Sheri were amazing and we had so much fun working with them!
I had a hard time deciding which pictures to post, so…enjoy!  :)
As usual, I love comments and opinions!

The gorgeous bride

One of my favorites.

The lucky groom!

My favorite bridal party pose

I can’t resist adding this picture- Heidi & I had so much fun shooting together!
Thanks for being a wonderful person to work with, dear!
Oh yeah, and don’t forget my hunk of a lense!  I better stop there. ;)

Titus & Sheri- it was such a joy to work with ya’ll!
Blessings as you start your new life together!  :)

Ok, so some of you probably just now came onto my site to look at the wedding pictures and are like, “Hey, where’d that post go?!”  No fears, the post is temporarily under construction and will return to the world of publicity at a later date.  Thanks for your patience and interest! :)

Titus & Sheri Yutzy

“Sometimes I get to places just when God is ready for someone to click the shutter.”
The other day I was giving my brother a lesson in portrait photography, and as I was sitting in the midst of this huge bean field, I glanced over at the sun, and what I saw took my breathe away!  I immediately reached for the camera and said, “Forget the portrait, I HAVE to take a picture of this!” :)

Just a little abstract. :)

So I thought the 50D was a nice-sized body for a camera, until I attached this baby! *gulp*  I’m experimenting with lenses right now, and rented this one (70-200 f/2.8) for a wedding I’m shooting in Kansas this weeknd. I have a feeling I just might be building some muscles til the day is over! :D
Hope I didn’t overshoot on this. *no pun intended* :P
